David is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he developed a commitment to charitable work through his work on the Penn State Dance Marathon, the largest student run philanthropy in the nation. David’s participation in “Thon,” which raises money for children with cancer, included five years of active fundraising, as well as the honor of participating in the event
–a 48 hour dance marathon – as a dancer.
After leaving Penn State, Dave obtained his juris doctor from Boston University’s School of Law. Dave has since developed a legal practice in the Boston focused on real estate and landlord tenant work. David’s work in the law includes pro bono work for tenants in the City facing illegal action by landlords, as well as assisting individuals who cannot otherwise afford legal representation.
A resident of South Boston, David is active in the community in and around the City. He plays in several softball leagues, including the M Street Softball League where he sat on the Board for a number of years. In addition to pro bono legal work, David’s charitable work in the City includes the “Southie Snow Patrol,” a fundraiser helping families in South Boston with heating bills, food, warm clothes, and toys in the winter months through Action for Boston Community Development.
A Red Sox season ticket holder since 2003, David brings to the organization his depth of legal and business knowledge in addition to his acumen gained from his ongoing charitable work.
